"Let It Be" by the Beatles
Apple AR 34001, Stereo, 1970
Everyone has an opinion about the last Beatles regular release LP to see the light of day - from the wisdom of some of Phil Spector's production embellishments to the track selection culled from over 200 hours of filmed sessions (for instance, why exclude John's brilliant single B-side "Don't Let Me Down"?), but listen almost 30 years later with unbiased ears and you might be surprised. The songs and the concept prove surprisingly strong, with the rooftop session tracks in particular giving off a spirit of sheer enjoyment at the sound of the band finally playing live once again - albeit for the last time ever.
On offer here is a totally original and U.S. stereo pressing of the album on the original red apple Apple label. The record is exceedingly clean visually, featuring very nice luster and shine, with no more than a bit of light scuffing and very light surface scratches present under bright light. It plays with beautiful near mint fidelity, with no more than a light stray tick to be heard anywhere. You are unlikely to hear this Beatles classic anywhere better than here!

The original gatefold cover is also in very nice shape, with vivid colors. The only flaws to be noted are some light ringwear and some light chipping on the top and bottom edges.
